Halal Liaison Officer

Halal Liaison Officers play an important role in maintaining halal compliance within approved premises. They ensure that daily operations follow halal guidelines and operational procedures established by ICC.

These officers act as the internal contact point responsible for supervising halal-related activities and ensuring that halal integrity is maintained throughout the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Perform basic Islamic practices such as daily prayers and fasting during Ramadan.
  2. Be aware of fundamental halal requirements and operational guidelines established by ICC.
  3. Ensure that halal operational requirements defined by ICC are followed at all times.
  4. Maintain a halal file containing relevant operational records and documentation.
  5. Ensure that all ingredients used in production are halal compliant.
  6. Supervise the receiving of raw materials within the approved premises.
  7. Assist in purchasing procedures related to halal ingredients.
  8. Ensure that vehicles used for transportation or delivery are used exclusively for halal food or products.
