Monitoring and evaluation of HAS implementation. Internal and external reporting of HAS implementation.

Internal Audit Activity

1. Schedule

Internal Halal Audit is conducted at least every six months or whenever changes occur that may affect the halal status of a product. These changes may include management changes, policy changes, formulation updates, material changes, or production process modifications.

2. Method

Internal Halal Audit can be conducted using the following methods:
  1. Interview and cross-checking
  2. Document verification and validation

3. Auditor

Internal Halal Audit is conducted by the ICH Team officially assigned by company management.

4. Auditee

The auditee includes all departments related to halal production processes within the company.

Corrective Action System

Corrective actions must be implemented if any non-conformities are found during internal halal audits. These actions must be taken as early as possible, especially if the issue may affect the halal status of the product. All corrective actions taken by the company must be properly documented and recorded.

Management Review System

A comprehensive management review of the Halal Assurance System must be conducted periodically, at least once a year. The review should involve all divisions related to the HAS implementation, including top management. All review meetings must be properly documented and recorded.
