The application guidelines provide essential instructions for companies seeking halal approval from ICC Denmark. Applicants are required to submit accurate information regarding their products, ingredients, manufacturing facilities and operational procedures.

These guidelines help ensure that applications are processed efficiently and that all necessary documentation is available for halal evaluation and compliance verification.

General Application Rules

All applicants applying for halal approval from ICC Denmark must comply with the guidelines and requirements defined by ICC before submitting their application. The application process ensures that all products, ingredients and operational procedures comply with halal standards and Islamic requirements.

  1. All applicants applying for halal approval from ICC Denmark must follow the official application procedures.
  2. Eating Establishment (Short Term) Scheme is applicable to halal approval holders who operate outside their certified premises for a short duration such as seasonal bazaars, trade fairs or exhibitions.
  3. All new and renewal applications must be submitted using the official application form provided by ICC.
  4. Applicants must ensure that all halal operational requirements and guidelines defined by ICC have been fulfilled before submitting their application.
  5. All new applications are subject to a non-refundable application fee. The same applies to renewal or additional product applications.
  6. Each application will be processed with strict confidentiality.
  7. The applicant must inform ICC if any changes are made to the information submitted in the application.
  8. ICC approval must be obtained before any changes or additions are made to:
    • Products
    • Ingredients
    • Suppliers of meat and poultry items
  9. Processing of the application will commence only after the application fee has been received.
  10. ICC will conduct inspection or audit only after the applicant has complied with all halal operational requirements.
  11. Applications that fail to meet the ICC requirements will be treated as null and void.
